Information We Collect
We collect account information (name, email, password), profile data, photos you upload (including teeth and face-adjacent images captured for analysis), analysis results, routine and habit tracking data, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe).
Face Photos & Oral Imagery
You provide multi-angle photos of your teeth/mouth (front, left, right, and optional top/bottom views). These photos may include parts of your face and are considered sensitive face data. They are used only for your SmileScore analyses and related features you choose (for example, progress views and share cards you generate).
How We Use Face Photos
We use your uploaded photos to: (1) generate AI-powered oral hygiene assessments and scores, (2) show your results and history, (3) let you compare past analyses, and (4) create optional shareable cards you control. We do not use your photos for advertising or to train AI models.
AI Processing & Third Parties
Your photos are securely sent to OpenAI vision models solely to generate your analysis. OpenAI processes the images transiently and does not retain them for training. Beyond OpenAI as a processor, we do not sell or share your face data with third parties.
Storage & Security
Photos are stored in Supabase Storage and linked analysis data is stored in Supabase Postgres. Access is limited to you and the systems needed to provide the service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Retention & Deletion
We retain your photos and analysis data so you can view history and progress. You can delete your account in the app to remove your personal data (including associated photos), or contact support to request deletion. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service or until you request removal.
Other Uses of Your Information
We also use your information to operate and improve the service, manage subscriptions, send service communications, and prevent fraud. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Your Rights
You can access, correct, delete, or export your data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the in-app account deletion option or contact us through support.
Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies to maintain your session and improve your experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking for marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy
SmileScore is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
